With the new year approaching, does anyone have any specfic watches on their radar for next year? I'm coming up on a little career milestone and thinking of adding this one probably around this time next year if possible.

Nothing specific planned for me yet. I may look into a black or blue dial diver type to go along with my coral SO. May also replace my speedy with a different chronograph model but will wait to see the new stuff. My wife and I also have a couple of milestones to celebrate next year so I'm sure something new will be procured.

That's a pretty fancy DJ there Justin. Are you sure you are up to it? You're not waiting for a Cubs' pennant to celebrate are you? :poke: (sorry)

Next year budget is going to be tight since i'm acquiring a Navitimer soon.

I'm probably looking at adding a Steinhart of some sort, maybe the 44mm Nav-B.

Also, i'm thinking of something more purely "Diver" than my CSO. So i'm thinking a blue dialed Doxa, the 750T Carribean most likely. But...plans change!!

I'm thinking that my collection (listed below) really needs a navitimer. That's next on my list for sure, BO1 if it's a good year, 2nd hand if it's a bad :-)

I think I mostly blew my 2012 watch budget in the last two weeks.

In 2012 I will be turing 30 as well as hopefully reaching a couple of career milestones as well most notably my CPA, so I have my sights set on adding a dressier three hand model with a sweep seconds. I have abandoned my previous idea of flipping my Navi and CM24 for a Navi01 and will instead add a dressier model to compliment my current collection. The question is which one?????

I was just talking to someone yesterday about selling my PO and BB to pick up one of my grails, a JLC Navy SEAL Alarm and then picking up a Speedy Pro, another watch I've been wanting for a while. I'd also love to get a Navi 01 but that won't happen for some time.

Who gave you such sound watch advice? I like that plan. As for me, my plans change by the minute. Last year at this time all I wanted was an extreme alarm and a yacht club. They came and went in a blink. I'd very much like a B01 next, either a Navi or a Flying Fish. :lingsrock: I'm looking forward to seeing the releases at SIHH, that will help shape my plans for 012'.

Some @$$hole that has too many watches that I want. Though if Breitling get's their heads out of their asses and designs a real diver with an in-house 3 hand movement I might change my mind. But what are the chances of something like that happening?

I wonder what watch will get the in-house 3 hand movement. SOH, SO, Wolf, Transocean? I'd LOVE to see them put it in a Steelfish, that would get the Breitling fanatics moist.

I spent today figuring out personal / business money with my company accountant ahead of year end so now have a better idea of whatt he budget might be. I'm thinking at this point that I might wait for Basel, definitely SIHH, but I am actually thinking that there may only be one or two in house watches next year, and maybe a 'weird' watch or two. I have a couple of ideas, but no solid short list.

That said, Artya is a favourite in the weird category - have been looking at these for a while and am really tempted - http://artya.luxuryartpieces.com/

I don't expect many people to understand
