Hi Breitling gurus!

Are any of you able to give opinion on this watch?

http://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=210536508

Quality of pictures are pretty low, but one of them is of the case back. Wouldve thought also that a model like this wouldnt be faked as its not a popular model, but that could be my faulty logic?

Cheers all
J

Well this is a new one on me! Never heard of the A10096 before.

It's a Colt Automatic with an ETA 2892 movement rather than the usual ETA 2824. Produced in limited numbers around 1991.

This particular watch looks to have the vertical part of the NATO badge with red/white/green stripes running horizontally so it seems likely it was produced for an Italian Air Force squadron.

That's a new one on me too, and I thought I'd come across most models made in the last couple of decades.

Likewise, and at the risk of being controversial......

I love that bezel.

I just bought a A10096 (Cristoforo Colombo, I believe) and was wondering if anyone knew the production numbers? It doesn't actually say "Edition Limitee" or anything but has a 3 digit serial.
thanks

:welcome:

Sorry but I don't know where I found the "limited numbers" comment or how many of the Cristoforo Colombo model were made. I guess the simple answer is "not many!"

Hi again,
I just got the watch and opened it. It has the correct movement and the rotor is signed Cristoforo Colombo along the bottom but is not signed Breitling anywhere. Should I be concerned?
Thanks,
Renaud

I don't think any one here has ever seen a Cristoforo Colombo movement so we probably can't give any views from previous knowledge.

However, if a faker was going to make a watch, he would engrave "Breitling" rather than "Cristoforo Colombo" so I am 100% certain it is genuine.

Please post pictures here of your watch. We would love to see them!

Here you go! Whatever it is, I like it. It is my most recent watch, my next most recent is a 1967 ref2002. I was looking for something solid and reliable I could wear every day.
