I agree with you Roff, for the money it should be the correct one, and I should have the most recent clasp as well. I will have a discussion with Ad in the morning.

Without a doubt, insist on the correct bracelet. Welcome to BreitlingSource BTW.

I bought it on the bracelet, and they gave me the strap and DB.

Update, the sales rep at AD is saying the bracelet is correct (manager was off yesterday). Does anyone have any reference material showing the newer clasp as the correct one?

Bracelet is wrong, I've given you the reference numbers and all they need to do is confirm them in the dealer book. In theory the older style clasp could be correct on a 6.75, but I just noticed that yours is the Speed variant which wasn't available until after the new clasp came out.

:yeahthat Just the other day I had to point out the correct bracelet # for a Navi 01. The sales person is rather experienced but admitted the most she knows of bracelets is to call her regional BUSA rep and say, "I need the bracelet for the Navitimer 01 LE." You are entitled to the correct bracelet. Go in and ask to sit down with the manager and their dealer book. It's right there in black and white.

No, just the bracelet.

You can tell the difference just by looking:

New - http://www.breitlingsource.com/bracelet_speed2.shtml

Old - http://www.breitlingsource.com/bracelet_speed.shtml

Who knew!! :?

I guess that makes sense as the regular Breitling references changed with the new clasps.

The bracelet was made during week 37 (mid September) of 2007.

i went through the same problem u had just a week ago. my watch came w/ the 982A bracelet. i sent it back to the dealer and got the 990A after i made a stink about it. And for the mix up they gave me the "Breitling the book". my watch was made in 14th week of 2011. and the bracelet was 50th week of 2007 that was originally given to me. for the price of these watches, i would want the most up to date bracelet. otherwise give me a big discount.

I didn't rush to check my bracelet. But now I did, and it's also not 990A. It's 982A and according to the info. posted above is from 2006.

I edited this message because I just found out Breitling sent the dealer the watch as I have it, so to clarify he played no role in it, and all this is news to him. He is also getting me the correct bracelet which I am very happy about.
