I am new to the Breitling source, having just purchased my first. A 6.75 speed with Bronze dial and ss bracelet, also a brown leather strap on deployant buckle. I absolutely love this watch, and can't take it off my wrist. I only wish I found this source before I went shopping. I purchased from AD in NYC. I have one question, it came with the flying b bracelet, but the manual talks about what I think is a speed bracelet 2, with a quick adjustment. Can anyone clarify?

Welcome to BreitlingSource.

There's no such thing as a Flying B bracelet. The Bentley range bracelet is the Speed bracelet with 5 links - the outer 2 wider than the inner 3. here's the cureent version, but only the clasp is different between this and the original - http://www.breitlingsource.com/bracelet_speed2.shtml

Thanks for your reply. My receipt says "24mm flying B speed bracelet" that must be referring to the clasp?
Is this a bracele or clasp from 2008?
I will try to attach a photo

That's the earlier speed baracelet (clasp). Flying B is another Bentley model.

It appears that I should have gotten the newer style Clasp.

Not necessarily. It depends when the watch was produced. I would be more concerned that they gave you the wrong bracelet - one for the Flying B rather than the 6.75. The bracelets are the same but the end links are different - what's the code on the link nearest the case - it will be 3 numbers and then the letter A?

That's why it's marked Flying B - that's the bracelet for a Flying B, not a 6.75.

I am now confused. When I go to the models section if this site it calls for a "speed" bracelet for the 6.75, and the flying b....I have the leather strap on now, but didn't notice any issues when the bracelet was on.

The bracelets are the same. The difference are the links numbered 982A (aka the "end links"). They are designed for a specific model to perfectly conform to the contours of the case. Different models have different case shapes, so each one requires a specific end link attached to the bracelet.

Should I be concerned about this? Should I get it replaced?

If it were me I would want the bracelet that goes with the watch. This one is different and therefore not designed for it, which means accepting second best - Breitling don't believe that this is the best fit or they would use it for the 6.75.

You want 970a which is for the Motors / 6.75

I agree with you Roff, for the money it should be the correct one, and I should have the most recent clasp as well. I will have a discussion with Ad in the morning.
