Doesn't even have the same sub dial arrangement as a Chronomat.

Good spot. I didn't know there were any fakes with J-Class type bezels.

Reported - "Bezel and subdial layout wrong for a B13048 model & 135999 common fake S/N with this ref no."

+1 - Bezel and subdials are incorrect, serial number is common to many fakes."

I sent a note to the seller describing the issues with the watch and just got this back;

"Hi thankyou. However I took the precaution of sending it to a Bond Street Jeweller in London to have it appraised, before listing and they confirmed to me that it is genuine. The only thing they questioned given my knowledge of the history was that they thought it was about 25 years old but we know it to have been bought about 20 years ago. My father in law bought it through an official jewellers also so I can't see that it isn't genuine. I thank you for your input. However I will proceed with the auction as planned."

Remind me to never buy a Breitling on Bond St. :(

Well, anyone who buys anything of value from a zero feedback seller deserves to get stung.
