I'm always on the prowl for screaming meme deals and although I really had not intended to spend any more on my collection upgrade this year, I happened up on this piece that was such a smoking deal I could not pass it up. Not only was it a smoking deal but the dealer also provides life-time free maintenance on it as well.

It is a Blancpain Leman Dual Time Limited Edition of 333 pieces (low number <50 bonus too) which is powered by Blancpain's caliber 5L60 and composed of 253 hand-finished parts and provides a 100 hour reserve.

The central skeletonized hands used for telling the local time are luminous filled at the tips and made of polished Rose Gold. The hour markers are applied polished Rose Gold batons which are inline with luminous markers located within the minute track.

The subdial at twelve o'clock can be set to display the time in a secondary location independent of the central hands. The dual time complication is linked to the day/night display located at the 9 and is indicated by an attractive sun/moon; allowing the wearer to tell at a glance if the time indicated is day or night. Other dial features include a date window located at the 3 and a running second subdial at the 6.

The 38mm Polished 18kt Rose Gold case is complimented with the characteristic Blancpain stepped bezel and curved lugs. Other features include a screw down crown and a screwed display caseback which allows for a water resistance rating of 100m. Looking through the display back allows the viewer an in depth view of the beautifully crafted and highly detailed finish work of the 5L60 movement.

Finishing off this beautiful piece is a black croc strap with matching 18kt Rose Gold deployant clasp.

Now if only I could find a hot deal on a Fifty Fathoms to match.....oh well, I reckon that will have to wait until next year....maybe

Whoa, that's a beauty.

And you've gotta love those Blancpain boxes. They're designed to be used as a cigar humidor as well, so the box can have a useful life other than being shoved away in a cupboard.

Very VERY nice pickup.

That's a great watch. I know because I had one in a white dial, not an LE and 40mm. HUGE congrats. A real beauty.

Are you kidding yourself? Do you really want us to believe that? Then again, next year is in about three weeks. But maybe three weeks is too long a wait. :nana:

:wowzers Awesome pick up there, really nice. To say that I like it is an understatement.

That's a real stunner!!

As far as being done "for now"...you and Shark must be drinking from the same Kool-Aid pitcher.

Wow that's incredible!!! Beautiful watch, I believe shark owned one of those with a white dial last year. You have been on quite a roll lately, damn! Congrats and enjoy ANOTHER beauty. I gota say, I prefer that one by a wide margin over the Breguet you were considering.

:yeahthat
Agree totally with you Serge, when I saw it I just about fell over. I read up on it and was more impressed with the stats on it. I still like the Breguet, but this one far outshines the Breguet and it was a much better bargain to boot.

You may be right John123, although I have a long ways to go before I could ever attain Sharkman's fame, but he does make some awesome Kool-Aid

Thanks F14 and yes I HAVE to be done for awhile after this one....spent more on my upgrade process than intended, but damn was it fun. Of course I'm still lurking looking for any awesome deals on pieces I have in mind I would like to add. One never knows when one of those irresistible deals will pop up  Plus I don't have a wife telling me I can't get what I want....yet :nana:

Now that is a wonderful suggestion Driver8, I did not know that, but an awesome idea!

My advise: continue the upgrade until you do. After that, you might need to downgrade. :nana:

That rose gold case is awesome... great pick up Montexn!

I've been on a rose gold fetish myself lately... don't you just love that certain "glow" that RG gives off compared to YG?

I agree Jlee...Rose Gold has such a nice look to it when compared to Yellow Gold in my eye too.

I also like White Gold and Platinum, but it being so similar in color to SS, it's hard to justify paying the difference when they both resemble SS. Simply put, if I'm going to pay a premium for a precious metal case, I want it distinguishable from my SS versions.
