Do breitling dealers sell head alone when buying new from them ? Just want to know if Breitling imposes any sort of restriction on the dealers.

Shouldn't be a problem at all, as long as you have an AD that knows what they are doing. Certainly not an issue in Canada.

no, we sell head alone all the time, not a problem at all.

Dunno where you are based, but I've bought just the head from UK AD's in the past as well.

So that's the US, the UK and Canada covered!

Yeah, no problem. I've done it at least once - a black dial CSO through FEAR.

The dealer I bought my Breitlings from actually has 2 price tags on each Breitling. One tag was for the case, and the other was for the strap/bracelet it was on.

I always see that, I hate that, but can understand it.

They used to all do that, its annoying. its how the watches come to the dealer. each one has 2 or 3 lines and prices, one for head, strap and buckle

Yeah...it is annoying, but what is even more strange is I think that Breitling was the only brand that they did this with. Not 100% on that, but pretty sure. It looks amateurish IMO. I mean really...how many "average" customers come into a store looking to just buy a watch head?

Surprised how many people find it annoying. I actually really like that approach because it makes it much easier to assess price on different strap / bracelet combinations.

Well yes, but that's different from a price tag that shows them both broken out, which is what I am used to seeing (if they are shown separately).

I think it's a good thing. How may times have you shopped for a different brand, loved the watch, but not the strap. You'd have to buy the watch and then purchase the new strap in addition. With Breitling you just buy what you like.

That said, I've been disappointed in the past about the price being for the head only and not the whole watch.

I agree with you and Roff because that way we keep all our options open on the strap/bracelet. An option you don't always have with all brands.

Why should it be disturbing to actually clearly read a tag?
