As it's been documented, the standard acceptable accuracy of mechanical wristwatches is as follows:

Worst Case Scenario +/-10 seconds per day 99.988% accuracy
Typical +/-5 seconds per day 99.994% accuracy
Excellent +/-3 seconds per day 99.996% accuracy

On average, are you gaining or losing daily with your Breitling?

I didn't know whether you were including Superquartz here so - my Airwolf gained about 2 secs over a roughly 6 month period, pretty accurate in my opinion :D

Well I don't agree with your numbers for worst case / typical / excellent when it comes to Breitling. All Breitlings for the last 10 years or so have been COSC certified so worst case should be -4 / +6

Mine are running between 0 and +4 right now.

My Breitlings are all fast but within COSC, which is exactly how I like a watch to be (if it's not spot on of course). A slow watch is a PITA - and I do have a couple of other autos that fall into that camp.

And then there's my BP of course.......

The only official time. At the US Naval Observatory Nuclear time clock:

(202) 762-1401

Remember calling from your cell you will be 1 sec late due to system latency. Therefore always check your time from the same phone line.
