What is the possibility of the watch being exchanged?

If it is, will you accept it?

Roff, if you could figure out a way that it would retain the 1st of the month along with that added day at the end of the month you could be a very rich man making watches that add days to your life...LOL Something like that would revolutionize the world as we know it...oh the possibilities boggle the mind.

On a serious note though....what model and movement was it? I sure wish you all the best on getting this situation settled.

Frankly why can't they just replace the whole damn watch :?: It seems like that would make more sense, as the customer does not have to do without his/her watch and the Manufacturer can then take all the time in the world fixing their screw-ups without affecting the customer. This is provided that the piece is still under warranty of course, but this type of customer service would improve customer relationships, promote brand loyalty and probably motivate the manufacturer to improve their QA/QC processes as they would not want to be replacing a ton of pieces.

I guess this would work in a "Perfect World"...too bad we don't live in one.

The watch was under warranty - the original warranty expired during this latest European tour. Watch is a Chronomaster XXT Open Grande Date with the 4039 El Primero movement.

We'll see what happens with replacement / refund / other, I am trying to build a reputation with them of being reasonable right now and will then try to use that to my advantage.

Your watch collecting is like my diet. I starve my self all day thinking I'm going to lose weight only to stuff my face all night. LOL

Congrats on the new watches. Both are beautiful especially the GO.

Lets see some wrist shots.

I hear ya Pete, now I have to go back into starvation mode for awhile I think, then again maybe I'll sneak out for a little midnight snack when nobody is looking  As soon as I get them next month (January) I'll post the updated real deal photos.

Thanks Jlee...umm which Corum?

You wouldn't be referring to this one would you?

Or is it this one you are speaking of?

To answer your question though, I still have both of them :) I wear the Black Hull more often than the Ti Bridge, but I break it out every once in awhile to take it for a walk. :cigar:

I don't rotate as much since I sent my winder back home to the States. When they were on the winder it was so much easier to choose a different one to take for a walk each day. Actually I have been rocking my old Colt Super Q for the past 3 days as it's been awhile since he got to get out and about. He was really starting to feel neglected and making me feel a little guilty, so I relented and strapped him on.

This lil old man has gotten to stretch his legs quite a bit lately too. He was born in 1954 as a LeCoultre Memovox Alarm and while he is much smaller and older than the rest of the gang, he can still hold his own. After having one of the BIG boys on, it takes a little bit to get used to him, but after that he does just fine.

Image

Now that's got me thinking of who else is long over due for a walk...thinking it's time to take Mr. Vitesse out for a stroll tomorrow. :breitling1

 Who me? Never!!! Well maybe just a little bit, but I couldn't resist. :poke:

But seriously thanks guys, I have to agree with you on those Corum Bridges being cool. I find that movement a totally amazing feat of micro engineering. I was just informed a few nights ago that Corum came out with a new Ti Bridge with the added feature of a power reserve indicator, sweet addition to the piece. The other Bridge I would really love to add to the collection is the new automatic Golden Bridge with the sliding rotor...to borrow a phrase from Jlee that watch is "uber coolness".

The last piece waiting for me today was this Glashutte Original Senator Moon Phase Reserve. I love the dial color and the strap...simply stunning to behold.
