I still cannot figure out why this model is not more popular on the boards. Just a fantastic watch with lots of visual interest on the dial

Nice pick up

What ? I thought you were done with this crazy watch hobby :poke: Just couldn't stay away, huh?

Very interesting piece. The 44mm looks to be a more reasonable size. If I remember correctly, the thickness is not bad either, about 13.5mm or so ? Try to keep this one for a while... I know it's hard, but you can do it!

Too bad this one was discontinued a while back.

The squares around the subs and date window don't look stripped like in the third picture - something in the lighint, uploading, resizing did that.

:santa: Congrats :santa: Just noticed it has a left side crown, interesting. Does it wind forward or wind backwards? I once had a hamilton (which I traded to you) that had a left handed crown and the winding and setting of the time were reverse from a right sided crown.

I was looking at pics of that while dial just last week and I know you were really nuts over mah's black dial. The size of the watch, big but not too big, and a little slimmer, just seems right. Really intrigued to see this one, maybe next chapter meeting. Congrats.

Now the issue becomes a strap. I thought the gold croco would work but an old beater I put on doesn't work at all with the black on top of the bezel and DLC on the side of the bezel. Black makes sense, but I would prefer something in the brown range. Perhaps the burgundy croco could round it out nicely and pick up some of the red on the dial.

:woohoo: Tom, huge congrats, that is a very sweet pick-up. :lingsrock:

I am not sure that red and burgundy would fit though. Maybe dark brown?

The sales person I bought it from is a color wizard. I think I'll leave the choice to her - either brown or burgundy croco.

Some additional pics. The insert between the crystal on the metal portion of the bezel is a very hard rubber, I guess; much different than the material used on the Raven and Abyss models. I’m embarrassed to admit I didn’t notice until paying that the side of the bezel is polished DLC. It’s a really nice effect.

The watch sits low and steady on the wrist. Very comfortable with the Navi bracelet.

Tom, from your 4th pic, the side of the bezel looks black. Is it really or is it a reflexion?

Also, I wonder is "MPH", just under the black triangle, a standard feature or the watch exists in Europe also with "KPH"? I would guess that it only exists with MPH.

Anyways, burgundy croc is one of my favorite straps (as is the green for some gold editions), I just haven't dared to get one. So, I'd love to see some pics if you choose that one.
