Haha, a lot of pilots and the military guys i knew always had natos, i think the earlier tool watches and the not so shiny stuff look great ! Emergency, any of the titanium stuff etc.. looks cool in my opinion, also shiny bracelets last about 2 mins, in most aircraft. Some of the smaller older aircraft have many interior sharp edges.

Hmmm,

When I last flew, my flying suit had long sleeves which covered up my watch when I wasn't looking at it - do they only issue short sleeve versions these days? :brit

Depends what your flying, i'm predominantly civie, CPL IR MEP MCC , i also do unrest FI duties, i know lots of mili. guys, from when i taught cadets years ago. I've bought MANY of the LE stuff from mili. guys. I also fly with a couple of ex. Buccaneer guys. GO ON give your B1 a go, the Airwolf sunburst not so sure though.

A friends personal PA34 had the sharpest door catch i've ever known, it bit several watch bracelets. My tit. CA being one.

Where are you based and what do you fly ?

You know what? I actually like that look for the Steelfish! That's the first Nato I've seen on a Breitling that looks good. (Apologies to the others posted here - Natos and Breitlings just don't generally gel IMO)

Yes Swiss - if my Sunburst 'Wolf were to be attached to a Nato, the strap would self combust (that's how strong the feelings run for my 'Wolf has on this matter :D ).

Regrettably, I don't fly unless it's in the back of a 'cattle truck' :) . I am civvy now having finished my engagement in the RAF back in 2003 after a 22 year engagement. I was very fortunate to fly in the front left hand seat of Pumas and also Gazelles for a 7 month stint in Belize. I was also fortunate enough to get a back seat flight in a T-Bird Jag back in the mid '80s. When 'tactical' I served with 2 (AC) Sqn, 13 Sqn, 39 Sqn and 41 (F) Sqn (when it was Jags (sigh)). Not much 'proper' flying I admit but enough for me to know how 'sharp' aircraft and other places in the military can be :D .
