Which raises the question of whether people will polish them to restore the original look or allow the patina to develop.

Bronze is also relatively soft in most practical alloys so is going to get scratched and nicked.

That's going to be a serious losing battle if people do. Just a few hours near the seaside causes a "roughening" and patinisation (if that's a word) to start to appear.

I've seen at least a couple threads about artificially aging them.

$1,295 is getting up there too.

I have OCD with my polished watches being mint but the reason I like this watch is for it to be aged for that vintage look.
