Hi, looking across various sites I found quite a few German listings for Breitling vintages. Is that where most of the Breitling collectors are based? Which country has the most Breitling collectors and whats a wild guess figure for the number of vintage Breitling collectors worldwide?

I would not even know where to start.

If it were a list of Bugatti Veyrons (300) then you might start with the manufacturer, as I am sure its an easy database to get stats from (and they probably know where they all are), but as far as where and what numbers of Lings, boy, that’s a tough one.

You could work it out on an educated guess basis, and some very knowledgable memebrs here might have a good idea on this.

Not sure that helps you though.

Jim

Well German / Belgian / Dutch figures are inflated by one person with several hundred personas

Inevitably Europe is pretty highly represented as is the US because those were major markets for the pieces originally. No idea how you could ever reliably assess this though.
