Pretty interesting if true. No idea that they were playing around with the big case in 1965. Looks very similar to the later early 1970's Chronomat.

seems basically true, apparently some prototypes of the big case models were produced with the cal 12 base movement without the chronograph modules, cases are 1965, movements are gilded and marked CAL 12 SC, so it seems strange they were really produced before the CAL 11s, they just might have been assembled into those cases years later ?

Would this model be the one with the really huge movement bridge? I may have seen something like this before...

This watch is time-only, so I think the serial dates it to the 1970s.
