Hello, I know this is an old post but hopefully someone is still watching it.
I have the same watch as the one posted here with the black face and the three dials, and day and date. It was my fathers. I had it serviced not long ago. Yesterday I was wearing it and when I got home I noticed the button for the chronograph start/stop had come off! I searched everywhere and couldn't find it. Can you obtain replacements? How is this button held in place? The end of the shaft, appeared to be threaded but yet tapered. I thought maybe screwed on, but then I noticed the collar that the button fits over appears to be grooved.
I was just heart sick over losing the button.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

John

It will need professional attention but you can get a replacement pusher. If you are in the US get in touch with chronodeco and he can help you out.

Hi, I'm new to the forum and watch collecting. I have a Wakmann chronograph, inherited from my father-in-law, nearly identical to the black-faced models shown in Chronomania's and Tomvox's photos (except with an aftermarket leather band). Can anyone give me an idea of its approximate value?
Thanks!

To be able to value it we'll need to see photos to assess originality and condition. Can you provide photos of dial, inside and outside of caseback and movement please?

As far as I am aware all Wakmann watches from that Era have WOG as the importers code, not just Breitling
Gigandet and Wakmann's own watches are bear the WOG code . Again , thats as far as I am aware

Bump. Anyone have any info as far as a value of this watch? I have one that needs some work done and I am curious if the repair cost will be justified.

These wakmann's are typically offered on ebay around 1100-1400 USD , the black white ones seem to fetch a higher price

Service ? , contact chronodeco here or through his website
