We have 3 AD's here in Vancouver , one refuses to discount at all zero zilch nada. I refuse to buy any thing from them ,mind you my girl friend bought me a Frédérique Constant Healey in rose gold there for me, nice LTD piece. But get a discount from them not a chance . The other 2 ADs discount to about 25% if you ask for a deal.

I live in NJ and have purchased (in the past) several Breitling at a store in the Short Hills Mall.
The discounts were in the 35% range.

I recently went in with my son to buy a watch for him and it was a struggle getting to 25% and only because I was a good customer and approved by the owner

I live in NJ and typically the discount on all Breitlings is 20% off. My jeweler who is authorized to sell Breitling usually gives me 35% on all watches and more on the Bentley line. Just picked up a white dial Superavenger and love it :)

New York City: 22 à 23% discount on Breitlings and about 20% on IWC.

An incredibly naive question - but how do you all bridge the discount with the AD? Do you just flat out ask what's the lowest they will go?

Gone by an AD in a city near me yesterday. They're having what they call "Horology Weeks" up to the 26th of November. They were proposing 15% off all Breitlings just upon entering. Discounts on other brands were less important (between 7 and 10%).

Further discounts were up fro grabs.

Thats what I do. 90% of the time theyll give you a discount. Sometimes small, sometimes large. They can usually see by the look on my face whether or not its good enough. I usually get the follow up question along the lines of "what are you looking to pay?" which I follow up with "Store X where ive shopped from before can do it for $xxxx, so..." Then they either tell me they can do it or the cant.

Actually the only time ive ever been rebuffed was at the Hublot boutique off of Rodeo Drive. I asked the lady what kind of deal she could do for me and she said something along the lines of (in a very bitchy tone) "we dont discount our watches. These are very special pieces and we dont do that kind of thing." I almost laughed. I told her that was odd since everybody else discounts them. After a couple minutes of her nonsense about how even though its a $20,000 watch with an ETA, Hublots are mostly about style and uniqueness, she finally said if I was serious that she would be able to work with me a little bit.

I get that boutiques are usually stingy with discounts, but they were the only place that was really snotty about it.

Many of you are forgetting that breitling has reduced the dealers discount for a SECOND time now, the dealer barely gets them for more than 35 back, so unless he likes losing money, many of those discounts are gone
