I don't know I think selling it might be the best option. I have been in your position before and I know it sucks to have a watch and its not the one that you really want. Good Luck and let us know how it turns out.

I think the best way to get as much money back as possible (because you won't get all back) is to sell it privately. Only 4 months old and hopefully in mint condition, you should be able to get somewhere round 75-80% of the purchase price. You'll get less if you trade it in, because the AD will have to sell it for 75-80% of the new price and then his commission adds to it too.

While it sucks to be stuck with a watch which is great - but reeaallyyy not what you want, you are in luck! If you bought your watch 4 months back, chances are you would have paid about 20% lesser than the price of a new Breitling AS - since almost all prices were increased between 15 - 20% on 1st May 2008. My advice - figure out the current price of a New AS and then offer your watch 25% cheaper than what it is currently selling for - and you will be able to sell your watch in no time. And you won't lose much as well.
The AS is a recent model and a favourite amongst many Ling owners

This site has an excellent Buy/Sell/Trade Corner. Why not list your watch with pics there?

I agree with mercury2wo. The best you could probably do on a trade-in is 25-30% off the SA. The Skyland is in high demand right now, so you shouldn't have a problem selling it. I am a big Skyland fan, but wish you luck all the same. It does suck when you realize you spent all that money and did not end up with what you really want. Good luck!
Cheers,
Carl
