Hmm, interesting.

Do you have any more photos? Inside and outside of the caseback would be really helpful along with a shot of the movement.

quite to very rare and potentially quite valuable

but I would like to see the back of the watch, the inside of the case back with the serial number and the movement to make some informed comments

nice watch but I would still like to know the complete serial number

from first observation(s)
The hour hand on the chrono is missing
the dial seems to be correct
the movement is not gilded but that might be correct (I am on the fence on that one)
and I believe I have seen the large 'second hand' shaped like that before but I will have to go through my reference material to look up a few things but again I would like to see the complete serial number to make sure (hope you understand)

credit to Altro on http://forums.watchuseek.com/f39/breitling-aviastar-avi-co-pilot-family-brief-history-112.html
so the second hand seems correct as well
too bad the hour hand on the chrono is missing but somewhere between $4500 - $6400 might not be far off in an auction if it had the hand (or even without the hand ? )

I'd be tempted to bid

Agreed that the hand is correct, and I think that I'm ok with a non gilded movement. $6,400 as is might be a stretch, but not a ridiculous one.
