Hi guys,
I always wanted to buy a chrono avenger( black face). For chrono avenger owners, how do you guys like it? Does it give you a feeling of a PLASTIC watch?

I am confused, please help me out .

Comments from people who like chrono avenger are also appreciated!

Thanks

I love mine, that is one watch that is never leaving my collection. Check out the pics of my modded CA in the Gallery section.

As for the "plastic" comment, I'm not sure where that's coming from. The watch is very light because of the titanium construction, but it doesn't feel cheap if that's what you mean. I like the fact that it's light, because I don't have to make the bracelet tight to be comfortable. Even if it's a bit looser than I normally like, the light weight means that it doesn't flop around as a heavier watch might.

I don't like the fact that Ti is relatively soft, so it dings and scratches very easily. On the other hand, it's a breeze to refinish with the right abrasive pads.

Overall, a good sized watch with great wrist presence, without being annoyingly heavy.

I really like my crono avenger.. nice watch, easy to wear. It doesn't look like plastic to me, that's for sure.

I personally don't really like titanium, but the "plastic" comment is probably a little on the harsh side. (I've never owned a CA, but I did own an M1 for a short time)

Ti certainly feels light and "different" to steel, and I personally didn't like the feel.... but then again I'm a fan of the big polished steel models, so if you like the look and feel of titanium don't listen to me! :)

Plastic? I totally disagree. I really like my black CA. Yes it is much lighter than the SA, but still it's great. A keeper!

:yeahthat

I have a black dial CA and I wear it every day to work. Its my first Ling,

and its a perfect "work watch" for me.It has some minor scratches on the
bracelet, but it can be cleaned up. I too, like many in the forum, have a
SA, and I wear it after work and through out the weekend.
Anyway, the CA is definitley a keeper, I get comments all the time!

Jim

Titanium has about half the thermal conductivity of steel, meaning that compared to the SS Skyland, the titanium Chrono Avenger feels warm as I wear it. Nice watch.

Its feels totally like metal, except it is light. Most likely the plastic comments are from folks who like the SS watches who still like the feel of heft to their watches.

BTW, I my Chrono Avenger black face.

Now I do understand your thoughts.

1st time I tried on a Emergency I thought it felt like a toy watch compared to my heavier steel pieces....

BUT

Now I have not only the Emergency, but a CA M1 too. I can assure you these are outstanding to wear and love.

The CA is a gentle piece to wear, you hardly know it's on....but for the stares you'll get from others wishing they had one too!!!!!!

I bought mine on a whim, liked the yellow dial...now it's a favorite in my collection

It's a fantastic watch. I wear mine everyday, black dial/pro II. Mine sees a lot of wear and tear and you wouldn't know it.

I also like the fact that it's not too blingy for everyday but a fantastic instrument none the less. it does not feel plastic.

I had a chrono M1 and it was a great watch, but I just could never get over how light the watch was. I ended up taking it back and geting a Skyland. If you like a big chunk of steal on your wrist Ti is not the way to go, but if you want somthing that is light then thats the way to go.

Good Luck. :D

Just about to comment, then saw your one. i guess this metale is totaly different from the heavy feel to the massive steel models.
