Hello! I recently found this forum, and I would like to thank everyone for all of their helpful advice! About a month ago, I discovered Breitling watches and instantly fell in love with them! I have decided to "take the plunge" and purchase my first watch this week.

I have decided upon the Avenger Skyland (black face, steel bracelet). There is only one AD in my area (Baton Rouge, LA), and as fate would have it...they have it in stock!

My question is in regards to the pricing. I found a thread here that talked about discounts...but just kind of wanted to get an idea of what I should pay. The AD has the price at $3,920 (which I think is the retail price...maybe somebody could confirm?) Is a discount possible for a first-time customer? With our 9% tax, the total would come to $4,273...I think this is a fair price for such an awesome piece...but would welcome any comments/suggestions/etc. on what others have paid in the US...or what you *think* I should pay.

Thank you so much for your help!

Andy

Welcome aboard!

That's a great watch and one I almost purchased. My Ad in here in the Columbus area has the Skyland Avenger at $4550 and would give me a 10% discount if I paid cash. Tourneau in Las Vegas also has it at $4550 and typically will give me a 15% discount. Anyway, I think your starting price is really good.

I would go for that if I were you! That is the old price. The prices actually went up about 16% beginning of May. Your AD must have got that from Breitling before the prices went up, and is still offering it at the old price. Usually you can depend upon a 15 to 20% discount it seems, from most ADs. I would ask, but if it is not forthcoming, I would get the watch at that price.
Skyland is a wonderful watch, even without the discount on the old price! Get it and enjoy!
Cheers,
Carl

First of all, congrats on making a decision on the Skyland, it's an incredible watch. As for price, I would at least hope they would discount the 9% sales tax to wash that out, if not, you still won't regret your purchase. Some people like to brag about huge discounts, but IMHO you won't be letting go of this one, so resale is a non issue and pay what you want to for it. And here's a pic to make you run down to that AD a little faster.

Sounds like the guys are pretty right about the price. It may be while before they get another one, GET IT NOW, before you regret it. Nice setup Jim, post a couple of more pics of your new S/A, buy the way, how did they screw up your order? Do tell.
