How about asking them to make a watch worthy of competing with the SubC and new in-house PO. A 44mm true diver (I'm talking about a friggin lume pip on the bezel), brushed with a brushed bracelet, in-house three hand movement, maybe a GMT function to make it stand out a little, and competitively priced. Breitling doesn't need to go the route of IWC and overprice everything. I would kill for an in-house GMT Seawolf that I could actually afford.

It was pretty good though. At least I can save a pen.

Dear Breitling, I became a fan of your timepieces long ago. I fully appreciate the longstanding traditions of the brand, while understanding the modernization of the brand in an effort to attract new clientele. I had hoped to see minor changes in the product lines, and possibly the use of modern, yet industrial grade materials, that would offer styling upgrades, while retaining the classic look and feel. Recently, there have been changes made in some models that have have seemed to stray a little too far from core values, with materials used that may not stand the test of time, as many previous models have done. With the market being what it is today, sometimes efforts are made that are designed to appeal to a broader market, and this in fact, can often be couterproductive. In lieu of attracting new, true Breitling fanatics, it can actually have the opposite effect, and indeed blend a brand into the masses, as opposed to allowing it to remain seperate and stand proud. Please remember to compare any future new models to the past core competancy, to see if they would indeed stand the test of time.
Certain models are now highly sought after in the resale market due to newer models not having the appeal that once drove many of us out here to own several timepieces of this great brand! Please produce more of the same, although consider doing so with in house movements.

Ding ding ding ding ding! "core values!" I don't know that phrase can be topped.

Alright so this is 101 words, but......

"Firstly, some clarity to your offerings – some distinctive styles that identify Breitling as a brand, that blend form and function into ‘instruments for professionals’; designs and product lines that evolve tradition (not ignore it) while embracing modern technology and tastes and in house movements that move you closer to independence in the mechanical arena.

I would like to see something that sets Breitling apart from the competition, an iconic step forward that pushes the industry forward and makes the press (and rivals) go ‘wow’. Above all, I would like to see a full range that your ADs are proud to represent."

Breitling has always honored its past as it evolved into the future. Embracing technology, craftsmanship and creativity equally in your timepiece designs you have consistently inspired and enchanted loyal customers as well as those who long to be. The fundamental concept of Instruments for Professionals rings true with models created for the diver, pilot and even astronaut. Thank you for giving us not only incredible timepieces but a culture...a passion. As you move forward in your horologic evolution, please look back toward the past. Don't forget what has made you great, what has made us become endeared to Breitling. We commend the recent creative designs incorporating new materials, colors and artistic elements! It is this creative innovation that has given us the slide rule bezel and the iconic Bentley's! Bravo! But please...look back. Be inspired by your history, your success, your tradition. Inspire us again...your Breitling Fanatics, Enthusiasts and Connesseurs

Honey for the flies. It's like saying, "With all due respect, Your honor." I like it. And most of us, me included, don't mind having some choices for all. Just not wholesale change we can't understand. Yessir, we have a new leader.

With all due respect, it's your letter and your pen, but I don't agree. It's too soft, and doesn't go far enough to tell them there's a problem that needs to be fixed. I get the concept of drawing more flies with honey, but going so far as to commend them for doing something as wrongheaded as putting rubber on their bezels sends the wrong message, in my opinion. Then again, maybe I should shut up and write my own letter.

Hey Breitling! Your new line sucks! Go back to the old style. We like rider tabs and metal bezels. Stop trying to innovate by adding rubber, rainbow colored crap, and stupid looking fonts. We hate it and will not buy it.

Sincerely,
Breitlingsource.

I'll sign that letter!! Simple, to the point, and accurate.
