Someone ever purchased a watch from this website or know someone who dealt with them? Is it a reliable company to deal with?

Why don't you try Govberg? you'll get a great price and they are absolutely reliable.

I'm located in Holland. Prefer to deal with a company close to me.

I, too, live in Europe. Many other European users have purchased from them. I'd rather take my chances with Fedex than with some "company" off a website.

Ultimately it's your call though!

They are grey market so there will be no factory warranty.

Yep, it's definitely worth contacting both Goveberg and Provident in the States, and AM and Bankslyon in the UK. Even with import duty they may well turn out to be cheaper, PLUS you get the backup of an AD and an official Breitling warranty. Do a search on grey market dealers here for threads on potential pitfalls of using non-AD dealers.

On the website, it states:

Quote:
New and unworn watch with box, manual and 1000 days house guarantee, invoice inclusive German VAT (19%)

Which translates to - if it goes wrong then the watchmaker we have on staff / call will try and fix it even though he / she is not factory trained and has no access to factory parts.

Provident won't ship overseas but as you have been advised, contact the other three sponsor ADs and just check this feedback section for other members' thoughts on them.

"1000 day house guarantee" is not an official Breitling guarantee - it's as Roff said, a "guarantee" (of sorts) offered by the website, which in practise might mean anything from a decent and fairly competent jeweller in the best case scenario, to a random bloke in his front room with a set a Bergeons and some enthusiasm at the other end of the scale. Either way it's not what I'd want to entrust several thousand pounds of my own money to. If you do decide to go the grey market route, the best thing to do is to just assume you don't have a warranty at all, irrespective of the grandiose claims made by the website. If something goes wrong you should just bite the bullet and pay Breitling to fix it for you. Also worth noting that some grey market dealers with-hold some of the paperwork (COSC cert) and sometimes they even polish off the serial number. This is rare nowadays, but if they do, Breitling won't touch the watch even if you are prepared to pay for work to be done on it.

But as I said above, all this information is in a number of threads on here about grey dealers. Make sure you read those before making your decision. The best advice is as we've already given : check approved AD's first, and the forum sponsors here are the best starting point.

Ok, better not then. I've contacted the site owner who said the watch comes original (not without the serial numbers scratches off). Also I would get the "official Breitling warranty". Is he lying?

I have no idea. You only have the warranty if he is going to send you a properly stamped and completed warranty booklet. That's either already been marked up when the AD sold it to the grey market or it was sold 'open' which could cause denial of a warranty claim if Breitling is suspicious of whether the date of sale is accurate.

In that case I thin better not to take the risk. I'm so looking forward to this watch. Very impatient person I am.

So contact the recommended ADs and have it by the end of the week!

They should've added at the end: "and you will have to take our word for it"
