Was at my AD picking up a new piece I have been lusting over, and they confirmed the price increase will hit on Nov.1 in Canada.

So I suppose if you are on the fence, better get in there while the gettin' in is good. That being said, damn are the prices getting so high I don't know if it will be much longer till I tap out!!

For quite some time, I had to have a Blackbird next.

The Blackbird is a real classic beauty, I even looked at a Red Strike.

But when I got there, I saw the Chronomat 01 LE.

I know what you are thinking, Buck Rogers font etc. I was 100% in the same boat. Had no love for the new font.

But in the metal, the brushed bezel with the matte font, the brushed case and bracelet, all black dial with color matched date wheel, the balance in the position of the subdials and the touch of red on the subdial hands and chrono hand... the texture of the dial. the display back and in-house movement. The LE did everything for me the Blackbird did and so much more.

The LE spoke to me way more than the Blackbird, which was comparatively speaking IMO looking a little dated, and didn't show as much finishing detail. The LE bezel is so neutral in this finish, you don't even see it, your eyes are drawn in right to the dial.

It's amazing; it had me hook line and sinker.

Came home with the Chronomat 01 LE. No pics though, I don't even like the way it looks in pics for the most part. Not that I have a camera worth using regardless!

This increase is a delayed implementation of the increase the US already saw, from what I was told. 2 different AD's told me of the Canadian price increase, so I'm sure it's across the board here.

It's hard to imagine the market will support it, but I haven't heard one way or the other.

Congratulations Justin ! The dial on the Chronomat 01 LE is nice, especially like the red sub-dial hands myself. I agree about the price increases, starting to get ridiculous. May have to cut back on the collection, turning into sell two or three, buy one :( .

Nice to see you back in the mix, enjoy your new piece!

Thank you Kodiak!

I agree on the red subdial hands, I love the piece, and it's great to be back in the spirit of things going well and a new time piece.

Selling 2-3 to buy one is heart breaking.
