Hi all

Just back from the Biggin Hill Air Show, down in Kent, UK, and part sponsored by Breitling nonetheless. They had an AD on site, with stacks of watches, even had a Brietling owners area, oh I wish I had mine to have gone through for front row viewing! The Breitling jet fighters put on a great display, though I must say I did enjoy the red arrows last year a bit more, maybe the displays were too similar?

Anyhow, got to chatting with the AD about the watch I am interested in, the Chrono Superocean with a blue face. New RRP is £2,520, they offered it to me for £2,142, so a 15% discount, plus as I am leaving the UK for good within 3 months I will qualify to get the VAT, which is believe is about 14% off the discounted price, bringing it to £1,842.

Now my question is this, how does this price compare to picking one up in South East Asia, so Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur or Singapore, as we are travelling through these on our way home to NZ. Does anyone have any ideas on prices in these places? Or even better deals available in the UK?

Cheers for getting this far if you did, its a long question!
J

I haven't been there myself, but several guys on this forum have said that you can't beat Bangkok prices. Hopefully someone else can fill in and give you a price guesstimate for Bangkok on your intended watch.

I'm in NZ too (Akl), and at a local AD I was recently offered a CSO for $5K on a tag price of very close to $6K - not that far off £1,840. I am looking at the black dial, though, and didn't look out for or notice any with the blue dial.
I'd definitely try Asia first, though.
Cheers!

Thanks for the on-the-ground info from Auckland, so worst case scenario I could get it there if it aint cheaper in Bangkok, fingers crossed it is though.

Does anyone have prices from Bangkok? :?:
