Hi to all on my first post :D

I finally pulled the trigger on a Colt GMT. There are so many other beautiful models!! But at the moment this is what I can afford.

I have a question: When I was at the dealer I saw the " Chronometer Certificate" paper but once at home it was not in the box. The salesman kept a yellow envelope to send to Breit USA for the warranty... Is he suppossed to send the Certificate too, or he just forgot to put it in the box?

Bests to all,

Pablo

He must have forgot to give it to you. The small yellow card is what he sends to breitling, but the COSC certificate is yours to keep. Call him and get it, as it will be important to have should you ever choose to sell the watch. It has matching serial numbers with the watch, and is used as a means of authentication for many buyers.

Great looking watch btw. Congrats!

That's what I thought. I believe he mistakenly put it in that envelope. I'll call tomorrow and ask. I hope I can recover it!

Most AD's leave the paper work separate from the boxes in their sealed plastic bags. Although the registration card is usually kept with the COSC also. Probably just forgot to give it to you.

I recently bought a Chronomat here in Tokyo and didn't get the COSC together with the watch. They told me it'll be sent to me with the warranty card in a week or two.

Good to hear. Anyway, if you haven't already, just make a phone call to your AD and ask. Either he forgot to gove it to you or it'll come in the regular mail, but if you call them you'll know and don't have to worry.

I just called and spoke with the salesman. He's a nice guy but he was kind of sloppy when he did the sale; he even forgot to make me sign the CC ticket - I reminded him - He looked around and didn't find it. My wife - she was with me - says that she recalls seeing him stuffing too many papers into that small yellow envelope...

Anyways, he said he will ask Breitling to issue a copy, and that it would take a while since this is done in Switzerland. The local store where I purchased my watch is pretty important so I trust they will solve the problem.

I will try to contact Breitling USA (if that's an option) and ask if they got it with my warranty info.

Currently wearing the same model and color. You've made an excellent choice!
