I wonder how long that will be. The 16610 was around for 20 years.

Yes, they've been a Rolex AD for almost 2 years.

Yes, they had an LV and also the standard 16610. I believe the LV was $8,500 and the 16610 was $8,000.

Yikes! Are you sure about that? A Sub-C currently lists at $8,000. I would expect the 16610LN to be around $6,660.

I'm serious, and I can' believe it either. On a positive note, the expected price increase by Rolex on 10/1 isn't happening until possibly January.

That is good news. Odd about the pricing on the older Sub, though. Perhaps the old guard Rolex fans now see it as a must-have, and demand has gone up.

SubC without a doubt! The old LV is a beautiful watch however the newer models trump it in every way. The larger lugs add much more wrist presence, the ceramic bezel has a certain shimmer to it that is nothing short of mesmerizing. I wear my SubC LV every day of the week and while green is not everyones cup of tea it, it certainly is for me. It may sound strange but putting my watch on every morning has become something of a ritual for me, something I look forward to every time I take it off. Buy it and enjoy it for years to come!

I purchased a new Sub C from a local AD today and got more than 5% off list price. a good result after all the dealers near to my office refused to discount at all. shows it is always worth shopping around.

Results speak for it all really. 93% to 7% to drop the LV 50th

I bet if I posted this on a Rolex forum the results would be the reverse!

Deal done and I should be picking my new Sub C. LN up first thing in the new year! :cheer:
