Having Tiger as a brand ambassador proves that Rolex watches are good for both your wife and girlfriend!

A Step Back for Rolex in my opinion.

I understand endorsement from a marketing perspective but I try to remove that from my purchase considerations. Tiger woods isn't exactly my cup of tee, but then again I'm not a golfer.

If he wears one of the Rolexs whilst he is actually playing golf then it is a good partnership for Rolex (ie, Nadal wearing a Richard Mille whilst he plays tennis). I understand when ambassadors of watch brabds are utilised in this way. But to simply wear one on a photo shoot for a catalogue. What's the point?

Based on the fact that Rolex has like a thousand 'ambassadors', including several in golf, what's one more. I couldn't care less to be honest. They'll both get something out of it and I don't think Tiger devalues the brand so all good.

Celebrity endorsements generally do nothing for me, and this one seems a bit more awkward than most. Like Roff, I'm surprised that such a conservative watch company would be the one to step in and back him.
