Hi all,

I've been offered a Breitling Bentley LeMans.
White Face with Leather Strap & Tang Buckle.
Just been serviced by a Breitling engineer (though not by Breitling).
Biggest issue for me is there is no documentation (certs/papers) and no box!!!

My questions are
How do I determine if its the real deal?
What is it worth without certs etc?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
Niall

The fake of the LeMans is an easy spot, just post photos in the replica section.

Advice on pricing is in the FAQs, #2 here - http://www.breitlingsource.com/articles_faq.shtml#8 and they come up often enough to give you some ideas. There have also been some sold here so search the sales section. Colour impacts price (bronze seems to come up less often and often commands a premium) as will service history. The lack of papers and box will knock a few hundred off but with the exception of the warranty the papers can be rebuilt.

Hello

if it has been serviced by breitling then i may be real dose he have a recipt of service or proof. But if you send the watch to breitling if you are in the uk I dont know about anywher ells. they will be able to provide you with a letter of authenticity priced at £24.00 (this includes P&P and VAT)
Your watch will need to be seen by them here at the service centre and they will send you a letter confirming if it is real or fake. Hope its real and hopes this help as well. :lingsrock:

You don't need that, just post pictures here.

Well Le Mans winners usually go for £1m+, not sure where the shopping would go though!

I don't think Breitling service centres can service it though.

Oh hang on...

I was offered a bronze face/ Lemans, all docs/box, etc a few months ago for $6,000.00 from a watch shop in California, the watch was initially on ebay, but when I contacted the dealer he offered a cash deal. Pictures looked good, but the bezel looked like it had been polished, it was not serviced by Breitling, I declined the offer. I bought a white face lemans, all docs/boxes/etc serviced by Breitling with 2 yr warranty for about 6,000.00 cdn a few years ago. They come up from time to time. IMHO if it has been serviced by someone else, I would want Breitling to go through the watch. Both of the Lemans I mentioned earlier came with the speed bracelet.
Good luck.
Mike

Bronze on speed for $6,000 was a steal!

It was the first Bronze I've seen for sale. Had all paperwork, box broken, bezel protector, no hang tag. Just had bad vibes about the seller. I've seen several blacks/whites, one blue and one bronze for sale over the past few years. Curious my understanding is that there were 250 of each dial made. I'm sure more will come up over the next few years.
