Sharkman, I agree with you 100% except I would still swim with a non screw down pusher chrono. I guess my biggest beef with the screw down is anything / everything I would actually use the chrono function for is trivial, except for steaks!! An example, while at a customer's house, I was testing a whole house generator. I threw the main breaker and suddenly decided to verify the amount of time it took for the backup generator to start, then for the transfer switch to switch over then for the process to reverse itself. I would agree that any thought out timing is of no concern, however it is just one of those things.

One other thing about chronos is hacking the seconds hand to the minute hand. All of my chronos need to be "specially hacked" or the minute hand does not reflect the same "minute" as the second hand. I always set my BB about 20 secs ahead of the second hand with a time hack. Getting the second hand and minute hand in sync is actually more difficult than it sounds.

Then I wanted a three hand watch so I could admire the large sweeping hand. that hand must be hypnotic! all others I own are 3 hand.

That's something I've noticed: the sweeping central seconds hand on a three-hand watch just makes it look alive. I don't get that same feeling from a small seconds hands, either on a chronograph, or a non-chrono that has a small seconds complication.

I love watching the yellow arrow float around my IWC Aquatimer. It is mesmerizing

I do like that Aquatimer. It's a such a classy sport watch. It also makes me wonder if Rolex and Omega missed a bet going with ceramic bezels instead of sapphire - nothing against ceramic, but the sapphire looks so great, and allows for lume on the bezel.
