I recently joined a general watch forum and posted the pic I took of my LV showing the Rolex etching around the inner bezel. It was just posted as a pic as I like to get close ups showing dial details. I posted this here a while back in the gallery and got a few replies mainly nice shot etc. but Wow on the other forum it evoked strong reactions, 50+ replies! some stated that they liked the itching but most stated that they hated it. Statements included they did not need to be reminded that the watch on their wrist was real, it was to blingly, detracts from a watches appeal, I' would probably have someone grind it off if , A bit vulgar and finally one disliked it so much if they bought a Sub LV they'd make sure to get a Sub without it,

I bought mine new in 2011 and I think it was only introduced in 09/10. I like it but does not bother me either way...

Personally I can't see whats all th fuss about! can't even see it in the second pic.

The etching on the inner rim does not bother me as it's part of the newer Rolex line and fairly normal. The green bezel however...that's a whole different story. I am not an LV fan at all. Glad you like it. That's whats important.

I like the etching. I don't think I'd buy a rolex with out it.

I like the etching myself. I also like that you can change the bezels relatively inexpensively. It made my old GMT a "new" watch. Now if I could only get all solid links for my old friend I'd really be happy.

You can barely notice the etching. The people who are making a big deal about it are just morons.

some of those rolex guys are real picky. im new to the world of rolex so the improvements made on the subc (116610 LN) are exactly that.....IMPROVEMENtS. but some of the rolex guys dont like the small details and just want a very plain jane tool watch. to each their own i suppose but for me I like the fact that the rolex etching is around the watch. its like a subtle detailing.

Yeah, the Rolex guys are a bit strange. I think most of them are just pissed that the new models make the old ones seem like junk.

As for the rehaut...seriously, you cant even see it unless you look for it. I just saw your pic and thought to myself "oh yeah, I forgot about that" while looking at my wrist. Its subtle, kind of cool. I like the little lasered crown on the sapphire too...although that ones pretty impossible to see.

Yep...its really hard to see. Put the watch under a very bright light and look at the 6 o'clock area of the crystal, near the edge.

I have always liked the etching on the inner chapter ring. Its all in the details, and that is a pretty cool, but subtle addition.

I was at a rolex AD on friday and looked at a pre owned old model sub and compared it to the LN and LV ceramic models. for me if I do buy a sub (or more likely when) it will be the newer model all the way but in black. personally I liked the engaving on the inside of the bezel.
