hey guys,

mate of mine handed me two watches today and askes me are they real or fake,
one is a Tag Heuer other is a rolex.

both watches i have never had anything to do with, dont like the style of either.

the tag to me feel well built and has weight of 156gs the rolex on other hand feels rather cheap and light 127gs (yet went to the watch gallery in melbourne today and had look at one and its was similar in weight. also when i unscrew the rear backing i noticed it had a plastic in side around the edge(white plastic) i wouldnt think rolex used plastic at all

sorry bout quality of pics as just used my iphone to do it quickly

Both look fake to me.

Don't think they make a quartz carrera (auto only). And I've never seen that rolex before, no idea what they were trying to copy?

P.s. Carrera Calibre 16 movement should look like this http://us.tagheuer.com/en/calibre-16

EDIT: Haha I see the Tag says quartz one side and calibre 16 the other.. suppose they couldn't decide :)

Both are cheap fakes.

cheers for that, i told him they were funny looking when he handed them to me. have told him before time and time again. if your gonna buy watch take me with you or buy it from the dealer.

the rolex was a no brainer but thought i would check (just felt cheap)
the tag has nice weight to it and fairly solid build but was missing serial numbers (that what i noticed)

That tag back is the same one from
cheap Chinese fakes of the carerra and looks nothing like the carerra back where you can see the movement.
