these videos have been intriguing me. Link removed by Roff.

I'm a novice in the watch game, but these replicas seem to be of a higher caliber? apparently, he uses a swiss 6497 movement in some watches as well as an asian 7750 movement in some.

What are your thoughts/opinions??

The fakest thing about a fake watch is the person wearing it.

Just something we're not interested in. Quality is irrelevant. A fake is a fake is a fake.

I struggle to even wear Homage watches.

If you can't afford the real thing, there are tonnes of cheaper brands available - seiko etc...

As with genuine watches, there is a wide range of replicas from cheap rubbish to high end, near 1:1, replicas with genuine ETA movements.

Whatever the movement or closeness to the genuine article, a replica is still a counterfeit and the high end models are more likely to be used to scam someone.

Link removed because it is against the rules to promote replicas and that had the contact details of te store plastered all over it.

As said, fake watches are for fake people.

Ask and ye shall receive...and boy, did you ever.

There are some people who don't mind fakes, but they're pretty disfavored here (both the fakes and the people who like them). Besides being illegal and unethical, they're also...well, FAKE. It seems to me a person who knowingly wears a fake is more into the image of the watch than what the watch actually is. I think most of us here are into watches for their intrinsic qualities. Of course it is naive to think we're not aware of brand cachet, and the prestige that comes with wearing a certain brand. But I think most of us here would sooner be seen wearing a $100 Seiko than a fake that the casual observer assumes cost thousands of dollars.

my personal opinion is that if i cant afford it i dont want the fake version. jackson is right if you are buying the fake version you are doing it more for the image. personally i could never live with myself trying to pretend to be someone im not.

Never thought of it like that, very valid point.
