Greetings All,

I’m in the market for a Navitimer with a leather strap and I’m just wondering what you’d consider to a current ‘reasonable’ price for one. I’ve done my own research and I’d say its possible to get one from an AD for perhaps $5,000 (Australian).

What are your thoughts?

ALH

I'm guessing New? If so, i'd go around to all of the Breitling ADs in your city and get them competing against each other for price. That ought to tell you the best price you can get.

Even though (I guessing) you're based in Australia, it'll probably still be worth your while contacting our 4 forum sponsors - Govberg and Provident in the US, and Andrew Michaels and Banks Lyon in the UK - to see what they can offer you. One of them may come out cheaper than your local options even after factoring in shipping and import charges.

Thanks for the assistance, greatly appreciated and I will investigate the options you’ve suggested. You mentioned ‘import’ charges – can any Australian readers of this forum comment on any hidden import costs when purchasing a watch from overseas?
