Don't know about watchmakers in the UK.

I remember seeing a recruitment in the AWCI magazine a while back (at least two years and probably longer) where BUSA was offering a little over $80,000 US. Keeping in mind that it is horribly expensive to live in CT, I'm not sure that was such a great salary. It certainly didn't attract me.
