I had a Pam 48. Nice watch, a 40mm that wore like a 42, could be dressy or sporty. I sold it along with my Steelfish when I bought my Breguet.

Funny thing about Panerais. Buying them, they look simple, classic. Over time, however, simple can translate to boring. The manufacturer's straps are relatively short, if that's an issue for you. Yet that's the look I like, the stainless bracelets don't do it for me. When I had to sell, I had more regret selling the Steelfish.

I still like the 48 I owned, but I think a Panerai with just a little less plain dial, like the GMT model, would be the one I'd buy and might keep.

I had a 111, really loved the watch but the novelty of hand-winding soon wore off.. Sold it and are now looking for a 312:)

Had a 312 and a 359, sold both because they wear too thick for my wrist. The sandwhich dials are great looking, I may try a base luminor one day since I'm told that they wear significantly smaller than the 1950's style case. If you can wear the thicker 1950 style case then go for it, they're gorgeous.

Also had a 183 Radiomir, I liked that one the best of the 3, slim, dressy, sexy, sandwhich dial, beautiful watch if you like Rads.

i have a new in box 90 i am debating keeping for me or selling, really nice watch. i want a 47mm one, but they aren't common at any sort of deal like this one. i am leaning towards selling it, but thats just because i have 2 more watches en route.

I tried a standard case on the other day, and I wouldnt have believed it, but it really did wear a lot smaller.

I lasted a bit longer but in the end I felt the need for a Navi World greater than the PAM and I'm delighted I changed them. Panerai have some great models though and the 312 is definently a great buy for anyone interested and I'm glad I owned one even just for a few months.

I have a PAM 049 which I have had for about 4 years. the 40mm case size is less bulky but still has presence on the wrist in my view.
