One of the members on TZ had his Steelfish polished and I have to admit it looks pretty nice.

Saw the pics on WUS and i think it looks awesome. If it truly has a factory finish, I may be the next to do it. :D

here's a better pic. I think it looks as though it came right from the factory, I was thinking my next purchase was a Chrono Superocean but I'm thinking about the Steelfish now.

Definite wow factor! It really does look like a factory job.
Too bad that Breitling doesn't have the Steelfish with polished as an opiton. Apparently, that is what they are doing with the 2008 Blackbird, offering both polished and brushed.
I really thought it would look too shiny, with the very shiny dial, but I have to admit I almost like it even a bit better. Maybe I will be the next to ask my AD how much it would cost! I know they can do it locally.
Thanks for posting the pics, too.
I got my Steelfish about 5 months ago, then the Blacksteel which I simply had to have. The Blacksteel is worn just about every day, but there is no reason I could not do the same with the Steelfish. Every time I wear the Steelfish, I like it more and more. It really is becoming a toss-up between the two, which I like better.
Cheers,
Carl

Do you know if they used Cape Cod cloths to polish the watch? I would love to polish my Steelfish if it will look like that.

Wow, I'm loving that polished Steelfish. And $200 seems like great value to me. Now I really REALLY want my old Steelfish back! :?

Got me thinking about how a polished-up new steel Seawolf might look.... hmmmm..... very tempting!

That's pretty sharp. I wonder how long it took to polish that.

Not long at all. Before Admin got me on the Cape Cop cloths I used to drop off my Lings with my local guy here in town. We would drop them off after 6 months of punishment when they were looking like hell. He would call us in about 2 hours and have us come and pick them up looking brand new. If the guy has the right equipment it's no big deal. The guy I go to removes the movement first and then when he's done polishing the watch he also replaces the gaskets and only charges $75. You can take a fully brushed Ling to him and you will get it back in 2 hours totally polished out.

Thats really impressive! I was only thinking recently what my navi would look like polished. i think it would add a little bling factor to a classic look. Would anyone advise or seen a polished navi?

Thanks in advance

To be honest most Navi's are polished anyway. Your 50th Anniversary one is more the exception to the rule. I'd say keep your one as it is (since it's different to most) and buy yourself a nice shiny Navi World to go with it! :)

Aw, heck, now I want my 'fish polished too. Does anyone know someone that can do the work? I'm not sure that there is anyone locally that I would trust to polish my watch and bracelet.
