Even the strap is a terrible fake. Perhaps the "breitling showroom guys" were really yhe cleaning crew. No one could mistake that for a real Navitimer.

Sharkman once took a high-quality fake into a Breitling AD, and the salespeople were fooled. The take-home is that salespeople don't always know what's real and what isn't. That's understandable with a high-quality fake that takes considerable scrutiny to detect. Yours, on the other hand, is a run-of-the-mill CHOS and should be blatantly obvious to anyone who has a working knowledge of Navitimers. It's hard to believe anyone working in a Breitling AD would be fooled by it, so I really don't have an answer to your question.

What's even more absurd is the story that it's a "German-only" version. If the Breitling showroom guys told you that, then I can only presume the showroom was the back of a van in an alley somewhere.

Well name the AD that said it was real and we'll be sure not to give them any business.

Oh and bear in mind that as a moderator I can tell what part of the world you are posting from so don't give us the name of a German AD!

I'm wondering why you posted your question to begin with? If you knew you'd be able to visit an AD within 2 hours of your original post, why ask here?

i just posted it in case i wasnt able to get it identifies by them..anyways im getting it returned , freaking shocking that he gave a fake for more than 5k!!

To mess with their heads and then educate them. Not to rip them off.

It amazes that there are entire ADs who seem to be clueless. The one I went to was. Many would have picked it out quickly, I'm sure.
