The UK SA's are WAY more special than those sold in other countries. They're all hand polished on young maiden's thighs by the Chancellor of the Exchequer himself using a glove made from the hide of an almost extinct animal, known by it's Latin name of "Fleecethebritishpublicus Rightroyally". That's why all watches (and just about everything else) costs so much more over here despite wages being comparable with somewhere like the States.

Do I detect a kindred spirit?

The full set, both bitter and twisted.

That's your own fault. The government reduced taxes by one by combinging GST and PST and you lot rejected it :poke:

Well Thank you for lumping me in with the Fricken dead between the ears morons that did vote for the GST and PST back. The real problem is and was the way the HST was brought in ,after That lying turd of a premier stated no new tax's . I think its best if I stop now ,I'm on the Verge of colourful metaphors and I was brought up better than That . By the way before the HST we had 63 Taxes.

Best not to get me started !!!!! laughing so hard I'm starting to cry !

I got into Breitling this time last year when I spotted the Super Avenger watch on a friend and fell in love with it straight away.
I like to buy watches to mark special occassions or milestones in my life and I was planning to purchase the Super Avenger this summer to mark my 30th.

I regret not pulling the trigger on it at the time now because iirc the price was about £3,400 on the bracelet last year.
I went shopping today with my wife today and was shocked to see that price has gone up to £4,620!

Can anyone tell me if a 2011 Super Avenger is any different to a 2009-2010 Super Avenger?
I mean have there been any improvements to justify such a big increase in price? I've read that Breitling are now doing in-house movements, does the 2011 Super Avengers have in-house movement?

If the watch is exactly the same with no changes or improvements made to it, then I don't think I'd be happy spending £1,200 than I should have, so I'll probably look to getting a used model instead.

Congrats on marking your special occassion. I got my Navitimer world when i turned 25 from an AD. Than a year later i bought the SA from the same AD. Got a deal on both watches. For my 30th im aiming for a Bentley but i should've bought it last year when it was much cheaper. Good luck with the SA.

La Swiss in Toronto is $4050 plus %25 off , plus %13 tax is $3189 and rubber band is $150.
With bracelet $4550 ... Discount still available.

Wow ...... My Moms from Brighton , no wonder she complains every time she goes back home.

I just called La Swiss in Vancouver and they told me $4076 CDN out the door, which is still $4120 USD plus import duties and shipping, which they are not willing to get involved with. I was quoted $4300 shipped from an AD in Florida. So, I'm still looking for a "Like New" version for $3K-$3.5K!
