Hi everyone,

I purchased a beautiful Bentley Motors Breiling today.

I've been wanting one for a while so thought I'd do some research. After reading the breitling source site, I visited several of the respected Internet non authorized dealers such as prestigetime, authenticwatches etc thinking I would get cheaper than retail. How worng I was!

I am in Sydney Australia on holidays at the moment, so I was a bit concerned the courier wouldnt get delivered to me before I left to head back home to Asia.

What blew my mind was the willingness of the shop to do a "deal" - I suspect that Australia just like the USA is economically in the dolldrums so luxury watches arent moving as fast as they did several years ago. Maybe it was end of month quota time - I dont know.

List price in Australia is AUD11,500 - prestigetime has it listed at around USD8k. After some haggling with the manager at watches of switzerland, I purchased the watch for AUD7300 including GST. Apparently when I leave, I get 10% back from customs at the airpoirt so all up - AUD6300. This equals about USD6900.

The most important thing is that as WAtches of Switzerland are Breitling AD's I get the full warranty and dont need to deal with the process that is common with the grey sites of shipping it back to the USA and dealing with their repair crew. Obviously this will mean resale value will be better.

I found the sale process very pleasant. The sales team new their stuff and offered me several bentleys to choose from.

Here are the details. http://www.breitlingforbentley.com/en/r ... ney-0-1842

So my experience shows that with a little haggling, you can get just as good a deal from the AD's as you can from the grey dealers.

Cheers

Sunchaser
