It just looks to be missing something. I know! Maybe contrasting stitching would look good! :nana:

Gasp! You took a sharpie to your croco strap?! Kinda got a heat flash and started sweating just thinking about it.

I personally love the contrast stitching but your photos do look nice. ;)

One thing I have is a s##t load of straps. But I went to the Oracle of Ling for his technique.

I sure hope not! Should have more than 20 years before I have to worry about that.

I suppose if I had a s**t load of straps I might give it a try as well. I don't know though- using a sharpie on a croco strap seems on the same level of using duct tape to fix a leaking pipe.

Don't worry.. I've done worse to my strap. I've tried to gold plate my croco before. :P

I have 25 or so Breitling calf, croco, and rubber straps in various conditions. As with everything else the simple answer is usually the best one.

First I was going to take it to my strap maker to have it restitched in black. Then I was all set to use premixed black Rit Dye and even bought different size artist brushes. But I decided to do what I should have from the start - go to the expert. And Lingman is the expert on that.

I must confess I felt rather ridiculous with a sharpie in hand about to dye the stitching. So I tried it on a croco strap that is pretty mangled and damn if it didn't work like magic. Simple, fast, permament.

Just like the extra virgin olive oil on a croco strap trick.

Shark man: master of the strap mod! If you can do something to a strap he's already thought of it.

If you use a fine tip sharpie you shouldn't have much of an issue with getting on the strap. You have to just check when you but the sharpie most are the medium point, the fine point click out like a pen alot of times.
