Been offered this Chronomat Evolution gold watch. Trying to figure a fair market value. What could I get for it if I sell it? Any thoughts?

Standard advice is in the FAQs, #2 here - http://www.breitlingsource.com/articles_faq.shtml#8

There won't be a lot of comparable pieces for this, but there is one on Chrono24 now with a dealerasking price that will likely have to come down a bit to sell - http://www.chrono24.com/en/breitling/br ... ultIndex=0

That is a really old watch, at least 20 years. Does it come with COSC Certificate and the wooden box? (I know, the number is K13047, but the gold watches before the all COSC were already COSC watches)

As the watch is around 100 gram gold, it should be at about 4-5k US$.

I just will be able to get the watch. Are you sure about the weight of the gold? Are you saying the intrinsic value of the gold is $4-5k alone?

If Chrono24 can't sell it at $7200, I would probably need to get down to at least $6000 on eBay. Just trying to figure out if it is worth my time/investment.

Thanks for any more help!!

I have heard that exotic metal watches don't sell that well. I would be cautious if buying it to flip (unless you got a great deal on it). Beautiful watch though.

Put it on a scale, then deduct the weight of the 7750 (which is about 27grams), and the weight of the strap. Then deduct a few grams (5-10) for the dial and the crystal. That should bring You an apporximate Goldweight. Everything below that would be a little bit unfair to the seller. :)

But don't forget to multiply the total by 0.75 as it is 18k, not 24k.

It won't matter in terms of the watch's value, but that isn't a Chronomat Evolution. It's a Chronomat.

They made they watch up till 1994. I think if you can get it for 5k you are doing well. Same watch is just under 2k in stainless usually
