Hi, newbie here, wondered if anyone could advise me as what to do with a problem with my steelfish.
I wear this watch everyday and it keeps good time. It is running fine at the moment time wise through regular wearing. However today I thought I would give it a wind and found that I could not undo the crown using finger pressure. I have never had a problem with this at any other time. What should I do? I dont remember doing it up very tightly last time.

I'm assuming that you mean that the crown won't rotate rather than it rotating but not unscrewing (which would be a different issue).

If you can't unscrew it the really not much choice to take it to an AD with a watchmaker. They may well have to force it as well but at least you won't be responsible for any damage!

It may just need a little oil on the threads, but not easy to get to them and the watchmaker can go in through the caseback and loosen the whole crown stem which may help.

Thanks, Crown wont unscrew from closed position, didnt want to try to force it myself, watch under warranty so looks like a trip to a local AD. If asked for my permission for them to try to force it should I give it or insist that they send it off to Brietling UK?

If the threads are crossed or similar then someone's going to have to force it at some point so I would be OK with a watchmaker (not a sales person) doing it.

Once again thanks, will get down to my local AD, and see how I get on from there.
