- Awesome watch there, buddy. I'm a AF aviator myself (C-17 pilot) and decided to get an Airwolf as well as my professional flying watch.

- Heck yes, I fly with my watch! I bought it to be a daily wearer. (I have a Ling Chronomat as my fanciest of dress watches) I also got it with a Co-Pilot module, which is also useful while flying. Both very functional in the cockpit, and after 2 years of flying and ground combat ops, the face is still perfect. Nothing but minor cosmetic surface scratches anywhere else on the watch case or bracelet.

- I'm also one that absolutely prefers the metal bezel over the rubber Raven version. I can appreciate that Breitling tried to go utilitarian, but IMHO the metal is much nicer.

- I considered putting together a group buy for my flying community. However, I would have had to be the point man for it, and really didn't want to go to all the work and responsibility of doing the whole show. In the end, I'm perfectly happy with my non-limited edition.

- I'm around fighter pilots a lot, and a LOT of them have custom Aerospace models. I like the Airwolf more, and it also sets me apart a bit, which is nice. I still have never seen a custom Airwolf in person.

- Those B1's are beautiful, too! Personally, I still prefer the Airwolf. (but NOT the "sunburst" face model years)

Enjoy the 'Ling!

Thanks Chris. Yes, I am VERY lucky and fortunate that the 26 of us voted for the Airwolf vice Aerospace as I would have been really conflicted whether or not to make the purchase if the majority vote was for the Aerospace. And your words ring true - I believe my LE Airwolf really sets us apart.

BTW, I'm still working up the nerve to fly with it. Part of my problem is that the climate I'm flying in is still very hot/humid; from the time we step to the bird to the time we commence engine start is about a 1.5 hour period - a period when we're sweating like pigs. Thus, I'm worried about subjecting the turbo fan case back (with small, open slats) to the sweaty/salty moisture from my arm. Should I be worried? I should post a separate thread asking if anyone out there has issues with sweat entering the back of their Airwolf or B-1.

I have flown many times with my Airwolf. I have also worn it while very hot and humid. I have no problems with mine, for what it's worth.

Fortunately, (or maybe not) I fly a desk now so I can wear what I want.

FWIW, I've lived and flown with my Airwolf in literally every climate around the world, from the super humid, to the super dry. 126 degrees F to about -35 F, desert to jungle to arctic. Never had a problem in any of it, including moisture or heavy sweat entering the back. While I don't think I've ever submerged the watch, it's certainly gotten wet in rain, or splashes of water from washing hands, or snowfall as I'm doing my walkaround in an Alaskan February.

Great Airwolf,
Fly away with it. I've swam in the sea, dove in pools with mine. My buddy ejected out of a CF-18 with his. All and all no problems!

Here's a photo of mine. 46 made last summer for Canadian Hornet driver's.

Cheers

Edit: looks like I can't add a picture!

Like I said, don't worry about the Airwolf, it's pretty strong! Here's my buddy going up the rails with his CF-18 Limited Edition!

Now that's what I call a very cool piece of equipment. For professionals.

Very nice Brez! The blue dial looks great against Canadian Hornet logo and blue aircraft. And great pic of your buddy punching out! After seeing that, I it's a bit foolish to worry about a little sweat. I imagine he was doing some sweating there himself...

You mean eject from or fly on a CF-18?
