I'm going to preface this with everyone buys a watch based on what they like (unless your Archie/Paul who just buys it to impress others LOL).

Curious to see if you get compliments on your watches from people that you do not know (obviously meaning in person, not on the forum). For example, I am counting as a compliment a guy who was staring at my wrist as he walked past and then did a turnaround - other than that, I really don't get much feedback - so again, not that I am looking for compliments on a watch, but curious, what has been your experience?

I have received repeated compliments for my silver Navi Heritage. They mostly come from women, which is not all bad. I got one from a guy for my Breguet.

I mostly get comments on Panerai for some reason. Other stuff people don't seem to notice.

Id gotten some compliments on the Steelfish when I had it, but I get a lot more on the Skyland and the PAM320, especially the Skyland. I get them a lot from younger people (my age--late 20's early 30's), and particularly girls that ill meet and sit down and talk to. They always seem to notice, although they rarely know what a Breitling actually is.

never really had anyone comment on my watch. maybe i have that look on my face that says "F*** off". i dont know.

A few weeks ago I went out with a bunch of people from work. They're all a bit older than me and they had also invited some friends. I was wearing my CSO on the bracelet and one of the cougs there noticed it right away and yelled across the table "nice watch!". She later added me to LinkedIn she's super cool.

Other than that, the people from work know I am a watch nut so when we have bigger conferences they all check out my wrists to see the newest additions

Excluding watch shops, virtually never. A few times only and always the Steelfish, usually on the DPII. But most of my friends and co-workers know I have "issues" with nice watches and seem to go out of their way to ingore what I consider a magnificent presence. Cretins!

People notice, but usually don't say anything is my experience. Might be different in the Club scene or if I were an Australian lawyer with a quartz AP, but I'm into neither.

The only watch I can remember having strangers comment about was when I owned a white dialed Navi World on the bracelet. Once by a younger fella at a shoe store and once from a nicely dressed older man in a high end chop house.

This is part of the problem with the blingy watches, IMO. I dont like the attension and am paranoid that I am going to have to "throw down" if some moron thinks he needs my watch! I lean, now, towards brushed bracelets and leather straps.

I've only had one person ever notice/ask about a watch I was wearing (Speedmaster at the time).

The Navi...zero, it must be one of those super rare invisible models.
