Hello,
I am having some crazy thoughts...
I have a small/humble collection of mutil-brands. I say humble as when you look at the Mondani and Mike Wood collections, my collection is not even a collection! My collection is worth the price of a good European car... but it is humble in this environment.

Anyhow, I am think of doing something that is not so reversible....
SELLING all non-Rolex pieces. Putting that money towards Rolex pieces.
I am a "Value" shopper. That means all my piece were bought on the secondary market and I would only buy 5-20 year old pieces! (No new Ceramic GMT for me! - maybe a sapphire GMT but definately holes cases!). I want value.

I think I would realise the following prices:-
Vacheron Constantin 6405 - US$3,250-
Patek Philippe Calatrava box/papers - US$13,000-
Audemars Piguet Ultra Thin w/2003 movement boxed - US$2,000-
Cartier Pather Large box/papers - US$1,500-
Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Grand Date - US$6,500-
AP Royal Oak 2 Tone Quartz - US$3,500-
Omega Speedmaster Professional w/1171 bracelet boxed - US$1650-
TOTAL REALISED US$31,400-

With these funds I am considered the following Rolex pieces:-
President no diamonds 18238 US$11,000-
DateJust TT Diamonds 16233 US$3,500-
DateJust 16234 US$3,000-
Submariner No Date US$3,250-
Submariner 16610 US$4,500-
GMT Sapphire US$4,000-
APPROX US$30,000-

On the Ladies front:-
Patek 24 - should swap into a Diamond dial Ladies President 69178
The 2 Cartier pieces should swap immediately for a DateJust Two Tone sapphire and also a Steel Oyster no date.

Please give me your opinions! AM I CRAZY?

I think that you should do whatever makes you happy. They are your watches and whether anyone else would do it isn't really relevant. Some collectors focus on a single brand, others diversify - different tastes for different people.

Just make sure that you are sure about the decision so that you don't regret it, especially given the family history of some of the pieces that you might be selling.

Yeah I don't know Paul, you've got some fine pieces there with some great history. Selling them all to replace with one brand doesn't make a lot of sense unless you're absolutely sure that's what you want to do.

You must be looking for your 4th wife ? Since the Dj gets all the BIRDIES you must be looking for your new dame. Your Youtube channel is quite entertaining.

In my humble opinion, the forum is much more vivid with Archie. Additionally, I Like Archie, his threads make me chuckle in amazement!
Archie let your heart be your guiding horological light!

Cheers,
Enezdez
