Hello, I own a 2005 Chrono Avenger and in the last few months this has started to annoy me: both of it's buttons, the start/stop and the reset, take a VERY long time to return to their original position after I press them. They remain depressed for quite a few minutes before slowly inching back out, as if it was sticky inside. This is a problem whenever I want to measure a short time lapse, obviously, but also if I want to stop the chrono and quickly restart it. the only thing I've managed to do so far is tug the buttons out quicker with thumb and index nails, but that's not really a solution, of course.
Any hints please? I ask here because the nearest authorized Breitling servicer is over two hours away :|

If the watch hasn't been serviced then it's due. I have seen some of the waterproof seals break down in the past to a sticky consistency so that may be what's happening here. Clearly something isn't right and it's not going to get better without Breitling attention.

You can make à water-resistant service only and your AD changes the seals if the watch runs steady
Otherwise it's like Roff say
