keeping within watches that I have viewed and realistically hope to own, even if it is sometime down the road....

1.) Navi 01
2.) IWC Portuguese Hand Wound
3.) AP Royal Oak 15300
4.) Rolex Milgauss GV
5.) JLC Master Grand Ultra Thin Moon (just found this one yesterday)

Hoping to narrow this down to three actual purchases including one dress, one sport, and one wild card.

I could (and have!) come up with about ten different lists in my head of "Top 5" watches I'd like to own, so I've decided to keep this fully within the realms of realism. (And by realism I mean things that I have a 100% chance of owning).

My realistic Top 5 is actually only a Top 3 -

1. Omega Ploprof (still not got one!)
2. Rolex Seadweller Deepsea
3. Panerai 312

To add a couple more that I want, but current funds at least are precluding, I'd also add -

4. AP ROO (either Safari Themes on the hornback croc, or Black Themes on the bracelet, á la Altair's)
5. Blancpain Fifty Fathoms

Over and above these, the prices start to get very silly, so those are my top 3/5.

Realsitic?? Well the OP should have said so. I'll amend my #1 since it's north of $100K, move everything up a slot, and drop in the new Explorer II as #5.

 I don't think it has to be realistic : I just thought I'd keep mine realistic, or else I'll just get depressed!

What's quite telling is that so far, just 4 out of the 20 posts in this thread state a Breitling in their top 5, and of those they all seem to be either older models, or 01 equiped models (except one call for the gorgeous and very traditionally styled 1461). Quite damning of the new models I think.........

(Big surprise there, huh? NOT)

1. Panerai 312
2. AP ROO Safari, RC or Themes
3. Green Ceramic Sub
4. Rolex 1680 Red Sub
5. Still thinking.......

The OP did say that the list didn't have to be realistic. If realism were a requisite, I'd at least have to remove the Blancpain limited edition Fifty Fathoms.

Currently what are the top 5 watches you want? Doesn't have to be realistic, affordable, or a dream list. Just the top 5 watches you currently want.

As this is the top 5 I want I will not include pieces I already have~!

1) Cartier Tonnuea 18K Yellow Gold
2) Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Jumbo Steel Automatic
3) Breitling Navitimer (Old Navitimer with date at 3 position)
4) 18K Louis Cartier Tank (manual wind)
5) Rolex TT Submariner with blue dial

This made me think how I have a soft spot for the white gold/blue dial Sub. I don't think I could ever justify the cost, even if I could afford it (which at current time I can't), and I would be perfectly happy with the SS/black Sub. But if we're talking pure desire, irrespective of price or other practical considerations, then the WG/blue Sub would probably displace the SS Sub on my list. The TT/blue is pretty nice, too.

:yeahthat

I'm actually a bit particular to the black dial one... the blue is nice but the black and gold... oh my...
