Hi

First time user.

Just bought/paying for an eBay purchase and feel a little concerned about the purchase.

I have listed the item number below if anyone could pass their eye over it?

270795973060

Not sure about the Swiss made T at the bottom as I can find no reference to this on here?

Serial number is listed on one photo and the other marking is 1155
1156202? Serial numbet.

Cadetta chronograph 1960's. Must be a late one if it's genuine?

Any help or advice would be really gratefully received.

Thanks in advance.

Joe

The T just means that the lume is Tritium, no issue there.

Serial number dates to 1967 and it looks fine to me. Unusual piece that we don't see too often.

Seriously?

When reading up on here it seemed people were saying 1155 can't be 1960's as stopped by then? Then nothing about T which was strange.

Any other points of interest or anything of concern? Would this of had a leather strap in black originally or brown or stainless band?

Does anything jump out at you for not bring original? Appreciate pictured may make it hard to view.

Cannot remember or now view mechanical type/number? Can you see it as I'm on iPhone? Is it correct?

Thanks very much for such a quick reply.

Mid to late 60s 1155 is fine - we had a 1969 here a while back.

Movement will be a Valjoux 7730 (rebadged Venus 188) or 7733 (Valjoux's first variation on the 7730 which was introduced during 1967). I would need to hit the reference books to tell for sure and don't have them in the office.

I don't think that the crown is original, and a couple of the hands may be replacements, but I don't see any serious issues. Dial is in good condition, but doesn't appear to be redone.

When you hold it in your hand you will find it is a "Cadette", not a "Cadetta".

Seems to be a Valjoux 7730 movement in a very nice, well preserved piece,
has probably been lying in a drawer or a safe for some time.

black, brown or tan leather straps would go nicely with it, you might even try a gold/honey croc strap ?

congrats !
