We have a member on another forum who has been found out trying to pass fake rolex off as genuine, the member has also tried selling a breitling to another member with no box or papers but says it is genuine, I for one think it is a fake for a number of reasons, what do you lot think of the collection. The seawolf was the watch that was offered as genuine.

Welcome back mate!

I must be honest, but that Seawolf's a tough call IMO. The resolution on the picture isn't that great, so I can't see the lume application too well. As you probably know, there's a very good fake of the Seawolf available, so I'd never buy one without B&P's. I'm sure Sharkmouth with have a view on this soon. (Bnewbie would've been a good call but he's not been here in over a month).

I suspect that that yellow dial Avenger Seawolf is fake. There is too much lume in the 6 and 9 o'clock batons and the bezel engravings look wrong, especially the 1 digit at the 10 min position.

Not 100% convinced, but convinced enough not to want to spend money on it.

I have the same Yellow Seawolf. I just compared it to mine. It could just be the quality of the picture, but for some reason the bezel doesn't look exactly like mine. But it could also just be the photo / light angle.

What makes you think it is not gen?

If you read through the WUS link the seller had a fake Rolex.

Differences I see from mine are the following:

on the bezel; the engraved numbers are not as crisp (could be lighting / focus), the lume dot at 12 is not as sunken

on the dial; the applied wings logo is centered under the 12 triangle, mine is offset slightly to towards the 11 (I'm talking about the very top of the wings anchor above the "B").

This appears to have 2 or 3 of the telltales of the fake of this dial version:

1) The arabics are too thin (the 4 o'clock is the biggest giveaway)
2) The lume fill in the two batons and triangle are too big.
3) The 3 digit in the 30 on the bezel missing kink in middle (Cant see to be sure?)

So, I'm reasonably sure its fake.

I think trying to decide if a Seawolf is gen or rep from a single photo is virtually impossible. Angle/lighting can make you "see" flaws which aren't there.

There is absolutely nothing that is "wrong" with the Seawolf replica. Any flaws are down to minor differences in thickness or angles. Because of this, I would not want to call a Seawolf on a single photo.

If this was on eBay, I would not report it as there is no way I'm 100% sure it's a rep. I'm not even 25% sure. I agree some things don't look quite right but another photo may dispel these doubts.

With these near perfect replicas, the only advise can be buy the seller, then buy the watch and only buy with full papers/history.

Sorry if I seem to be sitting on the fence but I'm not going to call it either way if I'm not sure.

Hi guys, I'm OK, just not active as I used to be. :)
SW is fake.
Just compare dial numbers thicknesses.
