did we ?

to the OP: if you can really get the offered uS$ 8,000 i.e. around 5,000 Pound Sterling for your watch, then by all means take the offer, I consider this quite unrealistic.

$8,000 for a watch that you haven't even seen a picture of - nothing at all unrealistic about that. Perfectly normal behaviour. :roll:

Yes its normal behavior and very realistic, offcours only, if it is as he said here: "the condition is very good and it has just returned from a full overhaul at breitling uk service centre at a cost of £835.00"

Well I encourage him to send you details of how you can wire the money to him as soon as possible.

I look forward to seeing the wonderful photos when it is listed on a well known European website for a ludicrous price somewhere north of 10,000 Euros and with a creative description.

I'd like to ask Schroeder though a serious question...

why do you think it's worth $8000? no sarcasm here... I genuinely want to know why it's worth $8000... obviously the current marketplace only values this watch at a conservative 2.5k to 3.5k... a shrewd collector such as yourself should obviously know this... Even on places like chrono24 and ebay I've seen high prices only go up to 4-5k...

No sarcasm. Please find one 7661 with yachting dial in real good condition for me for 4-5k, I will buy direct.

Schoederbert is not a collector, just a manipulator, and a bad one at that.

Sometimes, I think he's just trying to entertain us with bizarre statements, but this time he's trying to convince readers of this forum and where it might get web-indexed that the ones he has posted at eBay are really a bargain at a hugely inflated price.

He's a very dishonest person. Since this forum does get web-indexed, it might be a good justification for deleting his posts.

It does not matter how many dollars I pay for this very rare and very valuable watch. The U.S. dollar is still just garbage and toilet paper.

Better I have 1000 rare Breitling-watches than 1 ton of toilet paper.
